G.M. Pleads for Relief on Taxes
New York Times

This article is talking about how G.M. is borrowing a lot of money from the federal government. If G.M. has to continue paying for that tax it will send them to bankruptcy very soon. So G.M. is trying to persuade the government to not making them pay the tax temporarily. It is also talking about how if they can’t take all away they can at least make them pay less.
I think that they should at least lower it because there are a lot of people that work for G.M. and if they go down the tube then a lot of people will be out of a job and then the unemployment rate would rise even higher than it is know. I also think they should help other companies because they may also need some relief because they may be getting close to bankruptcy.
